No Bull Mattress & More sells discount mattresses out of its West Ashley shop, and it carries adjustable beds too. The store says its everyday prices run 55% to 80% below the big box chains. It describes itself as family run, with more than 24 years in Charleston.
The website names John and Jackie Madden as the founders. Their pitch is simple: low prices without pushy sales talk. The shop says it backs its beds with strong warranties and keeps a wide range of quality options on the floor.
One handy thing to know: the store says it shows a side by side price comparison between the big name brands and the mattresses it sells. That makes it easier to see what similar technology would cost you elsewhere. It also describes fast local delivery and set-up, and it names Seabrook Island, Folly Beach and downtown Charleston among the areas it reaches.
The shop opens every day, running 10 to 6 on weekdays with shorter hours on the weekend. It holds a 4.8 rating from 107 Google reviews. If you would rather spread out the cost, the website describes financing and leasing plans, with 0% APR on qualifying purchases subject to credit approval.
Charleston gets 52.8 inches of precipitation and 0.3 inches of snow a year, per NOAA normals for 1991 to 2020. The city counted 159,423 residents in 2025, per the Census Bureau, and sits in Charleston County.
Sunday is the short day, noon to 4, so pick a weekday or Saturday if you want plenty of time to compare a few beds.
