Moss Pawn Shop makes cash pawn loans, and across the counter it sells guns and jewelry. The shop goes by Moss Pawn & Guns on its website, which says it has worked the Atlanta area since 1976. It also does jewelry repair.
The shop describes a pawn as a 30 day cash loan. You bring in something of value, staff appraise it for free, and then they offer to buy it outright or lend you cash against it. The business says it pays cash on the spot with no credit check, keeps loans confidential and stores pawned items securely.
It takes a wide range of things. Its website names silver, boats and power tools among the items it will lend on. The shop also says it buys at fair prices, so selling outright is an option too.
If you're buying, it reports layaway for up to 90 days, with low down payments and no extra fees. The shop says its staff can help a first-time gun buyer or someone picking out an engagement ring.
The shop is open Monday through Saturday, with a shorter day on Saturday and no Sunday hours. You can call, email or just walk in for an appraisal. Google reviewers give it 4.5 stars across 667 reviews.
Bring the item you want appraised with you, since the offer is based on its value. One tip: Saturday wraps up at 3 pm, so if you're planning a weekend run to pawn or sell, go in the morning.
